The “Wilder Kaiser” ski area offers exciting experiences for both skiers and snowboarders. You can also explore the Tyrolean winter wonderland taking an enjoyable winter walk. Furthermore, there are cross-country skiing trails for a workout in the open air. With their excellent services, the local ski schools ensure delightful family holidays.

 

 


Skiing for Tiny & Tall

The ski area provides 284 kilometres of groomed slopes for both skiers and snowboarders at an elevation of over 1,800 metres above sea level. Located in the very heart of “Wilder Kaiser-Brixental” ski area, the resort of Scheffau boasts a great diversity of ski slopes to suit beginners, advanced skiers and experts. From the top stations of the cable cars, the skiers can soak up breathtaking panoramic views of “Wilder Kaiser” mountain range and the peaks of the “Kitzbühler Alps”.

Our ski resort is justifiably considered as a particularly family- and child-friendly winter sports destination. Thanks to the wealth of easy ski runs and a varied entertainment and activity programme, families can spend enjoyable days out on the ski slope. Numerous attractive facilities and innovative ski lessons allow children to learn to ski and practice their skills in an enjoyable manner. Our tip:

Cross-country Skiing

If you prefer cross-country skiing rather than downhill skiing, you can explore the countryside on trails running through gently rolling hills while admiring the impressive “Wilder Kaiser” mountain range. “Wilder Kaiser” ski area provides 70 kilometres of well-groomed trails to suit all Nordic skiing enthusiasts. Our tip:

- “Sonnenloipe” trail in Scheffau

You can spend the day on the ski slopes and afterwards enjoy a cross-country ski round in the evening. The floodlit cross-country skiing trail in Scheffau provides the opportunity to enjoy Nordic skiing until 9.30 pm.

Walks in the Snow

Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the enchanting snow-covered mountains to replenish you energy. While enjoying a leisurely walk through the idyllic winter landscape across glittering snow-covered fields, you can take a breath of fresh air and soak up the views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Alternatively, you may take a snowshoe walk on gently climbing ungroomed trails. Whether you prefer a self-guided walk or a guided tour, you will in any case be rewarded by stunning mountain views. The “Wilder Kaiser” ski area offers a varied programme of guided walks of all difficulty levels to explore the fascinating glittering scenery of rocks, ice and snow. Our tips:

EQUIPMENT

Our in-house winter sports equipment hire service "Kaiser's Sport" provides everything you need for a day out on the ski slope or for cross-country skiing.

With our online booking system you can reserve your ski and snowboard equipment in advance and conveniently from home.

We will gladly provide a ski pass so you won’t have to waste time queuing up at the ticket office.

A connection slope leads direct to the valley station in Scheffau.

TIPS

The piste map will give you an idea about what awaits you in our ski area.

In the event of an emergency, smartphone users can resort to the emergency app of the Tyrolean mountain rescue service. The app is available for free download.
